Why I Am Running For Congressional Office

We are facing a morality crisis in this great Country. We have elected representatives who are not doing their job in protecting the most vulnerable in society. And although the problems we face may seem monumental, by addressing them at the local level, we are directly affecting the next generation in a positive manner, enabling them to heal and make America better.

Glaring Issues In Society

  1. Child abuse has yet to be addressed in the public education system on a nationwide level, leaving countless individuals feeling alone or bullied for acting different or out of the ordinary, not knowing that what they are experiencing is not right.
  2. Some school districts are not submitting honest grades which prevents students from genuinely learning the material and pilfers funding from honest school districts (in performance-based funded states).
  3. Homelessness remains an issue despite our country being incredibly well off and more than capable of lifting people up by working with home-owners with rooms to spare or ADU’s to rent out.

What we need at this moment in time is legislators who will talk about what is going on with the general public, address these matters with bold legislation, and have uncomfortable conversations on the House Floor to bring about much needed societal improvements.

My Top 3 Legislative Goals

  1. Require annual school assemblies led by trauma-informed counselors to educate students and staff on recognizing the signs and symptoms of child abuse within the public education system. [UTAH 2029]
  2. Mandate annual audits of teacher-submitted gradebooks to ensure accurate reporting of student performance and equitable distribution of school funding. [GRADE 2029]
  3. Establish partnerships with homeowners who have spare bedrooms or Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to provide transitional housing for individuals prepared to regain independence. [SAH 2029]

Why I Care

I’ve been through a lot in life and I just want to help people. I’ve been abused, trafficked, conserved, over-medicated, neglected and malnourished, homeless, ignored, mocked, robbed, etc. There’s a reason I’m so passionate about helping others and it’s because I care. No matter what you’re going through or have experienced, I’m willing to bet I can probably relate and I can at least try to make things better legislatively.

I Believe In

Jesus Christ

I believe in Jesus Christ and I know He lives. I believe that people can change. I know that the key to a happy life is following Him, trusting in God, and helping others. It works for me and I know it’s the right way to live life. Whether or not you share my faith in Christ, doing good unto others makes for a very fulfilling life. Additionally, it makes society a better place for everyone. When we help others, we enable them to give back to society when they are in a place to do so.

Traditional Values

I believe in upholding traditional American values. I believe God is our Creator and sticking to honest Christian values are what keeps us blessed as a Nation. Every nation has a national Identity, and I think upholding Christian values is for the best. As a Christian nation, America should be accepting and understanding of all religions assuming they align with protecting the rights, liberties, and pursuit of happiness of everyone. What matters most is the intention of what we believe in.
